Meteosat-7 Images

With an (offset) Sat-dish with a diameter of about 80-120 cm., a selfmade feed out of a "tin coffee can",
a downconverter (1691Mhz to137Mhz) and a receiver you can look to the results.

Have a look to moving clouds (avi) of the MeteoSat - Infrared D2 (European region).

You can have a look to all kind of images (visual, infrared, water vapor).

These are I.R. images (D1 to D9) or full earth-disk from 19-May-2002 18:00h:

Explanation of different images received from Meteosat 7 channel A (1691 Mhz) & channel B (1694.5 Mhz) = L-band:

VIS = visual (filename = C02..3, C1..9D, CTOT), (xTOT = total earthdisk)
IR = infrared (filename = D1..9, DTOT)
WV = water vapor (filename = E1..9, ETOT)
CTH = cloud top height
ADMIN = administrative messages
TEST = test image with white to black stripes
If interest, images of GOES (USA), GOMS (Russia), GMSN (Japan), GMSS (Australia) are send to Meteosat 7 on channel B and can be shown also.
